[geolstu-list] GEOL/ESCI MAJORS: Updated CCGS Scholarship Application: Deadline Oct. 27

GEOL majors, and ESCI majors interested in a career in the earth sciences:

The deadline to apply for a Spring 2017 Corpus Christi Geological Society scholarship is October 24th.   The scholarships are available to all earth science majors (this includes both GEOL majors, and ESCI majors who have expressed an interest in a career in the earth sciences, e.g. environmental geology, hydrogeology, etc.).

Scholarships are awarded based both merit and need, so even you do not have a perfect GPA you should apply if you need the money, and it is presumed most students need the money.  The minimum award amount is $500, and a key change this semester is that the Corpus Christi chapter of SIPES is also offering a $500 scholarship.

Attached is the updated versions of the application and guidelines.  Students who apply must be a member of the Corpus Christi Geological Society (CCGS) and a student application is attached.
