<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The deadline to apply for a Spring 2017 Corpus Christi Geological Society scholarship is
<b><u>October 24<sup>th</sup></u></b>. The scholarships are available to all earth science majors (this includes both GEOL majors, and ESCI majors who have expressed an interest in a career in the earth sciences, e.g. environmental geology, hydrogeology,
etc.). <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Scholarships are awarded based both merit and need, so even you do not have a perfect GPA you should apply if you need the money, and
<b><u>it is presumed most students need the money.</u></b> The minimum award amount is $500, and a key change this semester is that the Corpus Christi chapter of SIPES is also offering a $500 scholarship.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
