[cosc-grad-students-list] Fall GA opportunities

MS CS students,

We have several positions available starting in mid August.

These are 12-month positions.  They pay $1200/month and make you eligible for an in-state tuition waivor.

The general requirements.

  *   Must work 20 hours per week, every week, even during breaks, for as long as you have the job
     *   Schedule to be determined by your work supervisor (they will work around classes), but generally the 20 hours need to be M-F, 8am-5pm.
  *   Must be a CS graduate student
  *   Must currently have, and maintain a 3.0 GPA
  *   Must take 9SCH each semester (Fall, Spring) and 3 SCH in summer
  *   Must be physically in Corpus Christi
  *   Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.


There will be some a first round of virtual interviews next Tuesday and Wednesday morning.  May have some Wed afternoon.  May have other first round interviews the following week.

After the first round interviews there could be some second round, longer interviews.

In order to be eligible for a first round interview, you must meet the general requirements plus

  *   Send me an email that has
     *   A single pdf, that includes the attached GASkillsForm filled out, has your CV/Resume, and your TAMUCC transcript, attached by 5pm the day before.   Your CV should have your name, email, and phone number.  If you get it in by 5pm, I will send you the link to the lobby with your scheduled time, connect early as I will go from on interviewee to the next.
     *   If you are a new student to TAMUCC and don't have a TAMUCC transcript, add a page declaring that instead of a transcript.
     *   Note that all those the follow the instructions will get at least a first round interview.  Do not claim you can do something you cannot.
  *   The subject of the email must be "GA Application for Fall 2020"

First round interviews will be a discussion over your qualifications (skills, experience, etc.), possibly some technical questions.  Second round interviews will be more technical if necessary.
