</span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>2020 SACNAS Geo-Futures program</b></span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">. This National Science Foundation (NSF) sponsored program
supports geoscience student participation at the annual SACNAS conference. </span>

of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans, from college students to professionals, in attaining advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in STEM.</span><br>

<div><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">As part of the SACNAS Geo-Futures program, students are paired with a geoscience mentor at the conference to help them navig</span>ate the conference and network.</div>

<div>Given COVID-19 restrictions, the program will be moving to an <b>online format</b> and will help support student participation in an online environment. The society is moving to operate this year's meeting as a
<b>virtual event</b>. </div>

<div><b>Student applications are due July 24</b> while mentor signups will continue on a rolling basis. Also, <b>students must submit their research abstract to SACNAS by July 10</b>. The abstract submission process is run independent of GeoFutures.</div>
