[geolstu-list] AIPG-TX Geology Scholarships - Deadline March 1

The American Institute of Professional Geologists in Texas (AIPG-TX) is pleased to announce the availability of geology scholarships to student members of the AIPG.  Up to four scholarships of $1000 each will be awarded to undergraduate majors in geological sciences.  Outstanding graduate students may receive up to $2500.

Student membership in AIPG is free.  A local Student Chapter of AIPG is not necessary but is encouraged.


-       These scholarships are offered by the Texas section and are separate from the national scholarships awarded by the AIPG national organization.



-       Application for student membership can be made either online (www.aipg.org<http://www.aipg.org>) or by completing the attached form and submitting it to the AIPG national headquarters in Thornton, Colorado.  Online student registration is recommended because membership is immediate.  Either way, it is free for students.



-       Scholarship applications should be received no later than March 1, 2016.
