Students planning to enroll in ESCI 4498 Internship in Environmental Science (required for the ESCI BS degree), or GEOL 4430 Internship in Geology (elective for the GEOL BS degree) in Spring 2016 should consider applying for this scholarship.

Good morning:

For students who are doing an internship.  This scholarship was created to help with expenses associated with completing an internship.  Here is the website:  http://career-services.tamucc.edu/internships/internships.html   Interested students need to complete the application before November 15th to be considered for Spring 2016.  Awards vary from $500 to $1000 per semester.  Here are the eligibility requirements:


  1.  Minimum GPA of 2.5
  2.  Must be enrolled at TAMU-CC for at least 3 hours during internship period
  3.  Completed application must be turned in before priority deadline for full consideration
  4.  Attach one-page essay describing internship including:  job duties, number of hours to be worked, and location of the internship
  5.  Attach one letter of recommendation from a faculty member in your major or from a former supervisor
  6.  Submit a summary of internship experience at its conclusion
