All, just a heads up about the upcoming CCGS/CBGS monthly luncheon 
coming up next Wednesday.  As usual, it's a good way to hear some 
interesting applied science, and end up with a free lunch if you are a 
student (you just have to RSVP--see below).  Of course, if you have 
thought about potentially interning, or getting a job downtown, it's 
also in your benefit to get to know some of the folks who might be able 
to help you out!  Keep in mind Pint Nite, too (details below)--feedback 
seems very positive, and probably much more time to actually talk with 
people than during the hustle-bustle of the luncheons!

CCGS/CBGS Members,

The Corpus Christi Geological Society and Coastal Bend Geophysical 
Society *January Luncheon* will be held *Wednesday*, *January 21, 2015* 
at the *_Corpus Christi Town Club _ *(One Shoreline Plaza-Downtown).

Thank you to */_Cheryl Oxsheer, CGG_/* our bar sponsor this month. 
Drinks will be served beginning at 11:30 am, lunch will be served at 
11:45 am and the meeting will begin at 12 pm.

This month's speaker will be member, */_Lei Zhang, Schlumberger,_/* on 
“A Case Study: Seismic Inversion to Reservoir Simulation.” An abstract

Luncheon cost for members is $25.00 and can be paid at the door. If you 
are not a member _you can join at any time_. Students will be admitted

and no-shows will be invoiced.
