All, if you would like to attend the Geological Society of America
Annual Meeting in Baltimore, MD this fall (1-4 Nov 2015), here is some
potential help in the form of travel awards. Eligibility is very
broad--it says "open to all students underrepresented in the geosciences
including undergraduate and graduate students from two and four year
colleges, and recent college graduates. GSA encourages low income,
minority, First Generation, non-traditional, veterans and students with
disabilities to apply." Give it a shot!

*Travel Awards to Students Underrepresented in the Geosciences to Attend
Geological Society of America's Annual Meeting*
The Geological Society of America (GSA) is excited to announce that we
are now accepting applications from students underrepresented in the
geosciences to apply for partial travel awards to attend their first GSA
Annual Meeting this year in Baltimore, MD, 1-4 November 2015.
The GSA Annual Meeting provides students opportunities to present their
own research, learn about new discoveries in their field, build a
stronger network, and learn about careers in the geosciences. As and
OTF student there are additional opportunities to be paired with a
mentor and attend special sessions to connect students with key GSA
leaders and encourage participation and leadership within GSA.
*Eligibility:* OTF is open to all students underrepresented in the
geosciences including undergraduate and graduate students from two and
four year colleges, and recent college graduates. GSA encourages low
income, minority, First Generation, non-traditional, veterans and
students with disabilities to apply.
*Deadline to Apply:* Friday, May 29
