For this month's CCGS/CBGS luncheon, our very own Dr. Richard "Skip" 
Davis (Harte Research Institute) will be speaking about sea-level change 
in the Gulf of Mexico.  Skip is an world-renowned expert on coastal 
geology and sedimentology, in fact, he is an absolute giant--really!  I 
suspect this will be related to a great volume he published a couple of 
years ago called "Sea-Level Change in the Gulf of Mexico" (see 
http://www.tamupress.com/product/Sea-Level-Change-in-the-Gulf-of-Mexico,6437.aspx). 
Anyway, the point is that getting to his presentation will be well worth 
your effort.

For students, like usual, your buffet lunch is completely free--you just 
have to RSVP ahead of time--details below.

I hope we can make a very strong TAMUCC showing at the luncheon, and I 
look forward to seeing you there!
