*SEPTEMBER 24, 2013 - VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES - MARSH PLANTING!*

*Volunteers needed for ?grassroots? marsh restoration and planting in 
the Nueces Bay! Join us on September 24, 2013 to help restore needed 
habitat. _MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD OR OLDER FOR THIS SPECIFIC EVENT_*


*TIME:        9:30 AM ? 12:00 PM, Followed by Lunch*
*PLACE:     Nueces Bay Marsh area. Exit towards Indian Point Park on 
Nueces Bay Causeway coming from Portland towards Corpus Christi. *
*Volunteers will have a morning training, which will include: learning 
about the plants in the Nueces Bay, how to plant marsh grass, how to be 
careful around nesting birds, and learning about boat safety. Volunteers 
will then be taken, via airboats, to plant marsh grass on marsh beds.*

* Lunch provided! Please bring wetboots or water shoes if possible. *
