All,

There were several people that had problems with the proposed time of Thursdays at 3:30 and we have a list of some proposed workshops.  If you are interested in attending iCORE workshops this semester, please fill out the google form (link given below).  Fill out the parts of the form you want, only the time is required, but the more information you provide the better.  The checkboxes (square) you can select multiple, the circles you can only select one.

As most of you may know, iCORE puts on workshops on various topics, mostly related to computing.  They can be on the more intro level to more advanced.  The audiences range from those interested in programming to more using computing (machine learning, visualization, etc.) for help in their work.  We have students (all levels), faculty, and staff,  and all majors are welcome and show up.   Some recent workshops have been:

  *   Visualization with iPywidgets
  *   Intro to using ML
  *   AI in Cyber Defense
  *   Non invasive fall detection in the home.
  *   Prediction of Compound Flooding with ML
  *   Underwaterizing images
  *   Code version control with git
  *   AI approach to Curation of Safety/Toxicity Information on Pharmaceutical Excipients
  *   Data Compression in Social Networks
  *   Agentic AI
  *   Fog Prediction
  *   Transformers
  *   IDing fish shapes
  *   genetic sequencing
  *   Machine Learning Talk: Hyperparameter Optimization
  *   Inkscape for Research Graphics
  *   Designing Good Research Posters
  *   Machine Learning Talk: Probabilistic Modeling
  *   Machine Learning Talk: Meteorological Interpretation of a Fog Prediction Model

  *   Probabilistic models

The purpose of this email is to inform you about the iCORE workshops, and to get requests on workshops you are interested in either giving, or attending.  Workshops will be held in iCORE (and via teams) on Thursdays at 3:30pm.  They will at least be biweekly, but might be weekly.  They will start in September and will go through at least November, but may have 1 or two in December as the semester is winding down.  Please send me any requests as soon as possible, as we want to start finalizing our calendar so we can announce it.    Thanks.
