Job Ad:

Applied Linguistics Professor (English department) here at TAMUCC seeks an undergraduate computer science major (or any other field so long as they are capable with R programming) for “R” programming tutoring. Professor and student would meet every other week for one hour and work from material pre-selected by the professor. As approved in the grant funding, pay would be $12.69 per hour. Tutor arrangement could potentially last from Spring 2018 to Spring 2019.

Required: Strong proficiency in the computer programming language R. Prompt and professional with communication. Able to simplify interactions in a way that allows low-intermediate (professor) and tutor (student) to understand each other.

Preferred: Has previous teaching/tutoring experience. Will continue studying at TAMUCC until Spring 2019. Flexibility in scheduling (Monday-Friday). Has a 3.5 GPA or higher.
