UNSUBSCRIBE

This e-mail is to help everyone know how to unsubscribe from the listserve (at least for those who are current subscribers) simply because I'm tired of seeing various individuals' e-mails trying to unsubscribe to the same place where you want to post messages. Many of these individuals do not read the instructions sent to everyone periodically (in response to those who post their unsubscribe requests here by mistake, somewhat like this one) which informs us how to unsubscribe. I felt like being helpful...
 
For those who may be to busy to read every now and then, there is a link at the bottom of every list serve e-mails which says 
http://gradschool.tamucc.edu (the grad school link). If someone really wanted to unsubscribe, they could easily go to http://gradschool.tamucc.edu and navigate just a little while to find under QUICK LINKS, RESOURCES, a link to join the official listserve, http://listserv.tamucc.edu/mailman/listinfo/gradschool#scribing and by scrolling down, in huge letters they would read Subscribe & Unsubscribe 
and follow the instructions from there. In addition, at the bottom of the Grad School webpage there also is a phone number to call (361) 825-2177 that you could call if you needed help. 
 
But just one more thing before I go...in the original WELCOME TO THE LISTSERVE e-mail there was plenty of useful information (and, therefore, probably should not have been deleted) but to those who did delete it and still want to unsubscribe, let me help you out...here are the suggestions for unsubcribing from that e-mail:
 
"If you ever want to unsubscribe or change your options (eg, switch to
or from digest mode, change your password, etc.), visit your
subscription page at:

(in this part there was a link to your particular subscription page) 
  
You can also make such adjustments via email by sending a message to:

  Gradschool-request at listserv.tamucc.edu

with the word `help' in the subject or body (don't include the
quotes), and you will get back a message with instructions.

You must know your password to change your options (including changing
the password, itself) or to unsubscribe.  It is:

  korioc

Normally, Mailman will remind you of your listserv.tamucc.edu mailing
list passwords once every month, although you can disable this if you
prefer.  This reminder will also include instructions on how to
unsubscribe or change your account options.  There is also a button on
your options page that will email your current password to you.
