Subject: HACU Member Advisory - HNIP Summer Program

HACU MEMBER ADVISORY

February 16, 2007

Feb. 23 Deadline Fast Approaching
for HNIP Summer Program

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is seeking
the best and the brightest of our community for our Summer 2007 HACU
National Internship Program. The internship program is designed to
allow college students to gain professional development experience that
will enable them to make more educated career choices. Our summer 2007
session is our most popular session with more than 40 federal agencies
and corporations providing over 400 internship opportunities in
Washington, D.C., and in field locations throughout the U.S. We are
currently accepting applications for our summer session until February
23, 2007. There is no fee to apply. Federal agencies and corporations
will begin selecting students through April. HNIP strongly recommends
completing an internship prior to graduating to improve your future
employment opportunities. Many of our former interns have been able to
leverage their experience for more challenging and better paying
positions. Not only will you be exposed to your field of study and gain
valuable work experience, you will also begin to build your network of
professional contacts who may at some point open a door of opportunity
for you or provide you with guidance on your career plans. Travel
Housing Roundtrip airfare is arranged and provided at no charge to
interns. Interns who arrange their own transportation will be
reimbursed for reasonable expenses. You are financially responsible for
the costs of housing, but HACU can arrange and manage it for you. Pay:
