OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS:

FOURTH ANNUAL PATHWAYS TO THE DOCTORATE RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM

 

Submission Deadline: This Friday, September 29, 2006

 

The Texas A&M University System invites its students and faculty to the
Fourth Annual Pathways Student Research Symposium to be held November
10-11, 2006 on the campus of Prairie View A&M University. 

 

Undergraduate and graduate students from A&M System universities and the
Health Science Center are encouraged to submit abstracts for poster
presentations from their current or past research projects. 

 

Students and faculty who would like to attend as observers are also
welcome. 

 

Awards will be given for first, second and third place in undergraduate
and graduate categories.  Prizes are $200 for first place, $150 for
second place and $100 for third place.

Examples of posters and abstracts from the winning posters may also be
viewed online. 

 

On-line registration and abstract submission opens August 31, 2006.
Those submitting abstracts must register and submit the abstract by
September 29, 2006.   No abstracts will be accepted after September 29,
2006. 

 

Those who wish to attend the symposium, but are not submitting abstracts
may register until October 20, 2006. 

 

All Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi undergraduate and graduate
students: $35 registration fee will be waived.

TRANSPORTATION WILL ALSO BE PROVIDED TO & FROM PRARIE VIEW A&M
UNIVERSITY

 

Please note: You must be submitting an abstract to have your fee waived.


FEE WAIVING DEADLINE: Friday, September 29, 2006

 

            REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:

            1 - On or before September 29, 2006, go to
http://www.tamus.edu/pathways/sympInformation.htm and register for the
symposium.

            2 - When selecting form of payment, click on INSTITUTIONAL
PAYMENT

            3 - Save the confirmation e-mail that you will receive and
forward it to liza.wisner at tamucc.edu 

 

Those submitting abstracts must register and submit their confirmation
e-mail by September 29, 2006 in order to have their fee waived.

REMEMBER: Registration will not be successfully completed unless your

Refreshments on Friday and Saturday, dinner on Friday night, and
continental breakfast on Saturday are all included in the registration
fee.
