Do you enjoy working with faculty in an academic environment? Do you have multimedia technology experience? If so, this might be the job for you! The College of Public Health, University of South Florida is currently seeking to fill two positions.
Coordinator, Educational Media/Communication, #13652 - Instructional Design Emphasis
Annual Pay Range: $40,000 - 50,000
What you'll do:
· Collaborate with faculty and academic counterparts on the instructional design, planning, development and facilitation of online public health courses.
· Recommend instructional strategies based on sound instructional design principles and theory.
· Identify, test, and recommend new instructional technologies.
· Work with the faculty and serve as a catalyst for promoting the integration of these technologies in online learning.
· Monitor quality and instructional integrity of online courses and assessments.
· Provide consultation and training to faculty in the areas of online learning and serve as a pedagogical resource to the College of Public Health for all online academic needs.
What we're looking for:
Required: Master's degree in Instructional Design or Instructional Technology, or a Bachelor's degree and two years of instructional design, curriculum development, distance learning or related experience.
Preferred: Master's degree in Instructional Design. Experience working with University faculty and/or instructors in the design and development of effective World Wide Web classes and computer applications for classroom instruction.
Desire: Demonstrated knowledge of HTML, Dreamweaver, Flash, Internet technologies and standards including Actionscript, CSS and Java Script. Familiarity with Blackboard is desired. This candidate must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment, and possess the motivational skills to inspire, encourage and collaborate with faculty in the use of instructional technologies.

· Design and develop online multimedia related to instructional modules and training courses.
· Identify, test, and recommend cutting-edge multimedia technologies.
· Work with instructional designers and faculty.
· Serve as a catalyst for promoting the use of such technologies in online learning.
· Provide creative solutions to existing or new training resources and seek to improve functionality in form and design.
· This candidate will possess extensive graphic and multimedia web skills including database design and web programming.
What we're looking for:
Required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Management of Information Sciences or a Bachelor's degree in above areas and two years of distance learning or related experience.
Preferred: Master's degree in Instructional Design or Technology, Educational Technology or related field. Experience working with University Faculty and/or instructors in the design and development of effective online courses and utilization of computer applications for classroom instruction.
Desire: Demonstrated expertise of HTML, Dreamweaver, Flash, CSS, Java Script, Action Script, Database design, graphics and video editing software is highly preferred. This candidate must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment, and possess the motivational skills to inspire, encourage and train faculty in the use of instructional technologies.
