technical expertise in the use of database management systems. The Database Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the organization’s website design, architecture, editing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREA: Database maintenance <br>

• Performs database programming and supports systems design, includes maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design.

• Design and modify existing queries, create new reports, and modify existing reports based on user request.
<br>
• Identify and understand Agency requirements and translate requirements into database functionality.
<br>
• Develop data models and re-design database architecture to accommodate user requirements.
<br>
• Interface directly with internal and external clients to identify and create new tables, user interfaces, reports and graphs.
<br>
• Make necessary modifications to the database system with user feedback and usability improvements.
<br>
• Reorganize the basic structure of the database to align with current best practices.
<br>
<br>
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREA: Quality control <br>
<br>
• Interface with technology vendor and third parties to update, test, modify and troubleshoot database systems and modifications.
<br>
• Develop standard operating procedures of data entry and maintenance to sustain the security and integrity of data.
<br>
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. <br>
• Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans. <br>
• Audit, modify, and amend data to ensure optimum performance. <br>
• Ensure security and integrity of system and data. <br>
• Take ownership of database issues reported and see problems through to resolution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREA: Website and online media creation and maintenance <br>

• Act as webmaster of the agency website. <br>
• Create and maintain the online content management system. <br>
• Create, edit, and remove content from the website as needed. <br>
• Research new online technologies, updates and trends to keep the agency web presence current and secure.

• Adjust visual design and accessibility of the website to allow future projects such as marketing/donors.

• Collaborate with staff and administration to research, implement, and maintain agency social media assets.

• Assist with preparation of presentations, proposals, meeting material and technical documentation.
